Moles Removal/ Tattoo Removal

Mole Removal

It is a permanent mark on the skin that is evident at birth. It may be due to a mole or hemangioma. Pigmented birthmarks are caused by an overgrowth of cells that cause pigmentation

WHAT IS THE COMMON TREATMENT PROCEDURE FOR MOLE REMOVAL?

Corticosteroids are injected into the mark to shrink it and stop the growth. Propranolol is a liquid given by mouth to shrink the birthmarks. Interferon alfa-12 is given to shrink the birthmark if the corticosteroids don’t work. When medications have no effect on the appearance of birthmarks, other ways of treatment are through laser therapy on skin surface or surgery in cases when the birthmark causes a medical problem. Several female patients of Dr. Khilji Faisal Arif have undergone procedures of birthmark removal and have reported tremendous results.

For cosmetic reasons, a mole can be removed in several ways:

Shave Excision

In this method, the area around a mole is numbed,  then a small blade is used to cut around and beneath the mole. This technique is often used for smaller moles and doesn’t require sutures.

Excision Surgery

In this method, the mole is cut out with a scalpel or a sharp punch device.

Sutures are used to close the skin

Tattoo Removal
