WHAT IS A WART?

Warts are caused by viruses and tend to be contagious. It mostly appears in the form of a small lump or blister, with a rough texture and color similar to the skin tone. Warts mostly occur on hands and feet, flat warts appear on face and forehead, genital warts appear on genitals and between thighs, plantar warts are found at bottom of the feet, and subungual and periungual warts appear around fingernails and toenails.
